Starquest Performing Arts creates opportunities for two and a half to 18 year olds to dance, sing and act through the power of performance.
Starquest Performing Arts are one of the best, registered and qualified independent performing arts schools in Kent. We were established in 1960 and have branches in Chatham and Sheppey. As a result we are able to set our own high standards and creativity with no third party interference.
As members on the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA), we provide experienced training to all children so that quality and excellence is maintained across a wide variety of dance forms so giving you peace of mind that any exams your child is entered into will be marked by a professional IDTA approved examiner.
We have been teaching performing arts to children aged two and a half through to 18 years and as a result, it has helped them gain confidence, improve their self esteem, co-ordination skills, strength and fitness as well as giving them the chance to have fun and gain new friends along the way. That is why we are proud of the feedback we have received from many satisfied parents and guardians over the past 50 years.
Up to four exam sessions a year
By offering structured classes you will see your child improve and progress and by entering them into exams will help build their self-confidence and discipline.
Christmas shows, pantos, fêtes, cabarets, events
Sometimes we perform at fêtes and events which are great fun to do. Your child also gets a chance to perform in our own Christmas show or pantomime each year.
Spectacular end of year show
Each summer we put on a spectacular show where the whole school participates and you, as proud parents, get to spend a delightful evening being entertained.

We encourage your child to enter festivals as it is a great way for them build confidence through public performance and the sense of achievement when they win is immense.

Starquest Performing Arts is a qualified and registered school.
We teach drama, singing, all forms of dance and performing arts styles and our classes are very competitive priced compared to some other schools and franchises in the area. We have classes most evenings after school and also during the day on Saturday.
Your child has the opportunity to take part in shows, pantomimes, cabarets, examinations, festivals or just come along for fun and to make new friends!

Our Co-Principal & Production Creative is Craig Bartley who is a successful performer, teacher and professional adjudicator.
He has performed in many shows in the West End and Broadway including Grease, 42nd Street (original cast) Me and My Girl and most recently in the summer of 2022, Crazy For You at the Chichester Festival Theatre and he is currently appearing in The Third Man at the Menier Chocolate Factory.
